Game of Thrones is an American fantasy television series based on the series of novels A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. Filming took place in several countries, including the United Kingdom (Northern Ireland), Malta, Croatia, Iceland and Morocco. The first season premiered in the United States on April 17, 2011, and the last episode of the final season was shown on May 19, 2019.
Game of Thrones takes place in a fictional world reminiscent of medieval Europe. The series simultaneously features many characters and develops several storylines. There are three main story arches: the first is devoted to the struggle of several influential houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms or for independence from it; the second is a descendant of the overthrown dynasty of rulers, an exiled princess planning to regain the throne; the third is an ancient brotherhood protecting the state from threats from the north.
The series is characterized by the absence of unambiguously positive characters, many characters commit controversial acts and may die on the screen unexpectedly for the viewer. The series features fantastic creatures — dragons and undead. Artificial languages were professionally developed especially for the series: Dothraki, High Valyrian and several of its dialects.
The prequel to the Game of Thrones series is the new HBO series House of the Dragon (2022, season 1).

This series only at first seems like a fabulous fantasy, but despite the presence of many fantastic attributes, it is very tough and does not resemble a fairy tale story at all, It has a premonition that good will constantly win, and evil will be punished. No, in the series «Game of Thrones» online, you can really see that not all secrets are revealed, and the characters are invulnerable. What I like about Game of Thrones is that you can see the hard truth of life when no one is sure not only of tomorrow, but even of their future in a few hours.
The author’s team managed to show so beautifully the fascinating atmosphere in which all the actions take place. Magnificent landscapes, the beauty of wildlife, fantastic attire, absolutely everything is done to ensure that the viewer does not look up from the television screen for a second. If we add that it is also a kind of hellish mixture of genres, historical, mystical, adventure, carefully mixed in a fantasy mixer.
For any viewer, there is something of their own here, adventures, sex, love, intrigue, conspiracies, magical actions, family, devotion. As for loyalty, direwolves are very appropriate here, which are formidable to enemies, but cute and caring, and at the same time loyal to their owners. The series «Game of Thrones» online can be viewed only the first episodes, because he still has everything ahead of him. So let’s hope that the authors and performers will continue the series on the same high wave.

To begin with, it doesn’t happen that you like everything — I told myself that after the first two episodes, but now after watching 9 episodes, I will say very exciting. I don’t like fiction, but it’s not a purely fantasy film. It’s all mixed up here… and it’s true, as «Bublik» said: any viewer here will find his own, what he is interested in…..I advise you to watch it, you won’t regret it….
Sean Bean still chose a good role, there are no more characters who are both key and similar to him.. it’s just a pity that Stark died like that 🙂
And here’s what I didn’t really like: the actors playing children look very grown-up, the jousting tournament was very short, although all the episodes are quite long.
But still, I’ll read the book and then I’ll compare it. I think the book is no worse than the film adaptation.

The series «Game of Thrones» was a real discovery for me in 2011! You could say, without realizing it, I fell in love with him from the very first shots! A real drug 🙂 The mysterious medieval atmosphere, high-quality shooting and scenery, a chic selection of actors who take not so much looks as charisma, unforgettable characters and, of course, the fascinating story of the Seven Kingdoms did not let you tear yourself away from the screen for a second.
The series has a huge audience and a stunning success all over the world. And this is not surprising! A completely new world opens before the eyes of the viewer, full of secrets, riddles, intrigues, epic battles, defeats and victories, love and hate. A distinctive feature of the series is the lack of a clear line between «good» and «evil», which shows how relative these concepts are in the real world. And for those who cannot wait for the release of season 3 of the series in 2013, I advise you to read the series of books by J. Martin «A Song of Ice and Fire».

I join the army of fans of this series!!! Most of all, I was impressed by the fact that even a seemingly absolutely negative character can act honorably, this indicates that the film is not predictable! Actors play their roles so realistically that you start to love, respect someone, and frankly hate someone… Unfortunately, I have not read the book, I cannot compare it with the film, but the fact that this series is worth watching says not only its rating… It has everything: all-consuming love, the cruelty of the Middle Ages, betrayal and intrigue, in general, all the feelings that a person can experience! I advise everyone to watch it!!! And I also want to thank everyone who took part in the creation of this film!!! I want to forget everything and watch the series again;)

It’s just a great series! Many people advised me to watch it (especially men), but the historical fantasy film is not very suitable for a girl (it seems to me). But not Game of Thrones! This is my favorite TV series, which even pushed the big bang theory! I look forward to every episode and am ready to postpone all my business when a new one appears. The plot simply shocks the imagination. The quality of the film is excellent! Everyone I recommended the film to was happy and didn’t know how they hadn’t watched it before! One of the main advantages of the film is that you want to be transported to that world and experience all the events that happen to them together with the characters! The film has one feature (besides the explicit scenes) this is that all the characters are either positive and you fully support them and negative, which you just hate!
